Congratulations! You’ve found an additional Patriot in your lineage established by the Daughters of the American Revolution. You may submit a supplemental application for that Patriot. Adding additional Patriots to your lineage honors their Patriotic contribution and grows the DAR’s genealogical resources for future members!
DAR members may find the supplemental application process challenging. Unlike your initial membership application, which likely involved assistance from a chapter registrar or other members, supplemental applications are often initiated by the member. Members must use the DAR Genealogy Research System and its functions to complete the application properly and may not have used this system before.
This course started with the “Ten Step Manual” and progressed to this course, allowing members to take advantage of this educational opportunity from the comfort of their homes and at their own pace. It covers completing a supplemental application using the Genealogy Research System. I have provided resources in this course to assist you with genealogy research questions. Taking this course and having the manual as a reference will teach you how to complete a supplemental application.
The course is divided into short lessons based on the ten-step process outlined in the manual. It includes readings, videos, and clickable links to easily access any additional items or materials I recommend. After finishing each lesson video and reading, press the “Click & Continue” button in the lower right-hand corner.
